• I was born on the 11 May 1984 in Cork. I grew up in Little Island and was educated in Glounthaune National School. Thereafter I continued my education at Coláiste an Phiarsaigh, Ghleann Maghair, Co. Chorcaí.
  • As a result of my education at Coláiste an Phiarsaigh I became a fluent Irish speaker and I have continued to promote the Irish language since then. I frequently attend the local "Ciorcal Comhrá" in Glounthaune Community Centre and I am on the board of Gael-Taca Chorcaigh. I am also a member of Conradh na Gaeilge.
  • After completing my Leaving Certificate in 2002 I undertook a B.A. Degree in History and Geography at University College Cork. Following this I completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Education and became a qualified Post-Primary Teacher in 2006.
  • Completed a Masters in Politics in U.C.C. in 2009 where I attained a 1st Honours Degree.
  • I began my teaching career in Coláiste an Phiarsaigh. After that I also taught in Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy, Coláiste Choilm Ballincollig, Cistercian College, Roscrea and Glanmire Community College. I am currently teaching History and Irish at Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy, Co. Cork.
  • Since I was a child I have been involved in local soccer. I have played with both Leeside A.F.C. and Knockraha A.F.C. My roles have included player, coach, and committee member. I have trained Schoolboys and Youths Soccer Teams for more than five years and I am currently a member of the Leeside A.F.C. Committee.
  • I am a member of the Little Island Community Asscociation where I act as P.R.O. and Youth Co-ordinator. Involved with the organisation of various events such as the National School's Halloween Party, the Senior Citizen's Annual Christmas party, and the Youth Summer work scheme.
  • I am also a member of the Little Island Historical Society and have been involved in the organisation and delivery of numerous lectures/walks and workshops.
  • I have had an interest in politics both at College and Local level for many years and have occupied administrative roles in various organisations. I am currently an active member of Fianna Fáil and a member of the Inse Rátha & Riverstown Cumann. At present I am am the Local Area Representative for the Glanmire/Glounthaune/Little Island area.
  • I have also been active locally in fundraising and various charity events, including marathon runs, sponsored walks and Christmas Swims on behalf of the Simon Community.
